For hardware manufacturers & deep-tech companies

App & cloud development as one scope.

One team for the app your customers see and the platform behind it: mobile app, backend and cloud: the full cloud built by us, or connected cleanly to the cloud you already run. No BLE or device-radio work in this engagement: for that, use IoT app or Connected product development.

One scope, screen to server: no BLE
App
Backend & cloud ours or yours
App and backend/cloud as one scope: no device or BLE link in this service. When app and cloud are one responsibility, there is no boundary to argue across.
Who this service is for

The app needs a platform. Or the platform needs an app.

Typical starting points for an app + cloud engagement:

The product needs an app, and there is no backend or cloud behind it yet.
A cloud platform exists, but every app feature turns into a cross-team negotiation.
App and cloud are built by different vendors, and the seams show in production.
You want one accountable team from screen to server, without giving up your cloud.
Insight
Most app problems in production are really contract problems between app and cloud: who owns state, who resolves conflicts, who is allowed to be down. One scope removes the contract dispute.
Two ways to run the cloud

Full cloud from us: or connected to yours.

Both paths are first-class. The architecture review decides which fits your product, team and compliance situation: not a preference for our own stack.

Path A · Full cloud from us

We build the platform end to end

Backend, data model, APIs, accounts, fleet and operations: designed together with the app, running in your cloud account. Code, infrastructure definitions and documentation are yours from day one.

FITS WHEN: no platform yet · platform due for replacement · one team wanted for everything
Path B · Connect to your cloud

We integrate with the platform you run

Your cloud stays yours. We review the existing APIs, agree on a contract the app can rely on, add a thin integration layer where needed, and build the app and any missing backend pieces against it.

FITS WHEN: platform exists · in-house cloud team · compliance ties data to your stack
What the service includes

From screen to server, one responsibility.

App

Mobile app development

Onboarding, live data, control and honest state: the app your customers judge the product by, built on a data model shared with the cloud.
Backend

Backend & API design

Versioned APIs, authentication, accounts and roles: contracts designed for the app that consumes them, not discovered by it.
Cloud

Cloud platform: built or integrated

Path A: the full platform in your cloud account. Path B: a reviewed, reliable connection to the platform you already operate.
Sync

Offline & online synchronization

Offline-first architecture across both sides: local truth in the app, queued changes, explicit conflict handling on the server.
Operations

Monitoring & diagnostics

Field telemetry, error tracking and fleet visibility: so production issues surface in dashboards, not in support tickets.
Handover

Ownership & documentation

Your cloud account, your repositories, documented architecture decisions: no lock-in, whichever path the review picks.

Frequently asked questions

What teams usually ask first.

Do we have to use your cloud?

No. Both paths are first-class: we build the full cloud platform for you, or we connect the app to the cloud you already run. The architecture review decides which fits: not a preference for our own stack.

You build our cloud: who owns it?

You do. The platform runs in your cloud account, the code and infrastructure definitions are yours, and handover with documentation is part of the scope.

Our cloud already exists but the APIs are messy. Still workable?

Yes: that's common. We review the existing APIs first, agree on a contract the app can rely on, and where needed add a thin integration layer instead of rewriting your platform.

How is this different from IoT app development?

IoT app development always includes a connected device: the app talks to hardware over BLE or Wi-Fi. App & cloud is screen-to-server only: mobile app plus backend and cloud, with no BLE or device-radio work. If you need both device connectivity and cloud ownership, that is Connected product development.

Next step

Discuss your app & cloud setup.

Tell us what exists: app, backend, cloud, none of it, and your main constraint. We'll tell you honestly whether Path A, Path B or a narrower service fits, or whether we're not the right partner.
