When is delta sync worth the complexity over full state upload?

Delta sync is worth the complexity for large histories, metered cellular backhaul, or devices that reconnect briefly. Small BLE configuration blobs are often safer as full state uploads. A gateway can send a snapshot each day plus telemetry deltas between snapshots, with periodic full reconciliation to heal missed chunks.
